Malayalam actor Rini Ann George applauded V D Satheesan's appointment as Kerala's next Chief Minister by the AICC, highlighting his resistance in the face of adversity. Her compliments follow allegations of misconduct against ex-Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil.

George did not lodge a police complaint against Mamkootathil, yet three other women later reported sexual assault allegations against him, leading to his arrest in one of the cases. George's appreciation was articulated through an Instagram post, where she commended Satheesan's indomitable spirit.

She depicted Satheesan as someone resilient, stating, ''One who rises when you try to bring him down becomes a blaze when you try to douse him.'' Her comments came after Mamkootathil, accused in a sexual assault case, was expelled from the party.
