Counterfeit Luxury Scam Unveiled in Delhi

In a significant crackdown on counterfeit luxury goods, police have arrested Mohit Sachdeva, a 35-year-old man, for allegedly selling fake products of reputed international brands from a shop in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh. The arrest followed a raid that led to the recovery of numerous counterfeit items.
The seized goods included clothing, watches, sunglasses, and other accessories falsely branded as high-end labels like Prada, Lacoste, Balenciaga, Burberry, Gant, and Hugo Boss. The authorities have also uncovered 55 Prada T-shirts and various other items branded with counterfeit labels, indicating a large-scale operation.
The police operation was prompted by a complaint from a field officer representing several international companies. Further investigation has revealed that Sachdeva had previously been involved in similar fraudulent activities. An FIR has been registered as the probe continues into the counterfeit sales.
