Tragic Dowry Dispute: Husband Accused of Wife's Murder Arrested in Kolkata

A man accused of murdering his recently married wife over a dowry dispute was apprehended in Kolkata. The arrested individual, Mohammad Ejaz, stands accused of killing his wife and concealing her body in a Delhi rented accommodation.

The 39-year-old Ejaz, originally from Bihar, allegedly strangled his wife and fled to West Bengal. Her decomposed body was discovered following a foul smell notice by the landlord.

An allegation of dowry harassment was filed by the deceased's father, leading to an investigation and Ejaz's eventual capture. The case further implicates Ejaz's brother, with police continuing to probe the incident.
