Delegates from the People's Liberation Army National Defence University in China are set to take part in Asia's foremost security summit, the Shangri-La Dialogue, in Singapore from May 29 to 31, according to a Chinese defence ministry announcement on Thursday.

Meng Xiangqing is slated to lead the Chinese delegation at the event, as revealed by ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin during a Thursday press conference. This marks the second year that Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun will not attend the summit.
