Yathindra Siddaramaiah, a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council, shared his expectancy of securing a ministerial position in the forthcoming state cabinet. He mentioned that the Congress high command has assured him of such a role, although formal decisions are yet to be concluded.
The son of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Yathindra, has expressed his aspirations clearly but noted that no discussions have taken place regarding the deputy chief ministership. Yathindra has also made it clear that neither he nor his supporters have pushed for the deputy role, leaving such decisions to the party leadership. He met with Chief Minister-elect D K Shivakumar to personally extend congratulations on his new position.
