Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Bengaluru's Yellow Line Metro on August 10, BJP leader Tejasvi Surya announced Sunday. This new stretch, spanning 19.15 km from RV Road to Bommasandra, will encompass 16 stations and has been completed at a cost of Rs 5,056.99 crore.

Surya described the metro as a much-needed advancement, addressing Bengaluru's notorious traffic issues, particularly around the Silk Board junction, and benefiting approximately eight lakh commuters. He attributed the timely completion to Modi's direct involvement and commitment to Bengaluru's infrastructure.

In addition to the Yellow Line, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Phase-3 of the Bangalore metro, extending 44.65 km with a projected cost of Rs 15,611 crore, as confirmed by Union Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
