The state of Bihar is grappling with rising water levels across several rivers due to relentless rainfall over the past day, officials reported on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department has documented light to moderate rain in numerous districts, including Patna, Banka, and Muzaffarpur, since August 2. As a consequence, several roads in Patna are inundated, disrupting normal life.
An 'orange' alert has been issued for multiple districts with predictions of persistent rains, as state water resources officials noted that rivers are overflowing and embankments stand firm as precautions against flooding continue.
