Heavy downpour in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district has triggered landslides and flash floods, wreaking havoc in the region and causing widespread disruption.
Several homes in areas such as Panarsa, Takoli, and Nagwain have been impacted by debris. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. Rescue operations are actively underway across multiple locations, with teams working tirelessly to reach affected areas.
Local authorities have advised residents to avoid rivers and streams as the Kiratpur-Manali National Highway remains blocked due to waterlogging. Additionally, a major landslide near Jogni Mata Temple has further disrupted traffic, inconveniencing travellers. An overflowing Shalanal stream led to another flash flood, causing the collapse of a private office's boundary wall, though employees managed to escape unharmed.
