The Jayakwadi dam, the largest in the Marathwada region, has seen its storage swell rapidly due to recent rains, officials confirmed. This surge has prompted the irrigation department to alert nearby districts about possible water release in the next two days.
The dam received an inflow of 5.62 million cubic meters following incessant rains on Tuesday, sparking the irrigation department to advise Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and surrounding areas to implement precautionary measures.
