In a remarkable tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, the Odisha government successfully planted over one crore saplings on Wednesday. The initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, reflects the state's gratitude and a commitment to fostering a greener Odisha.

Throughout the state, 41,080 sites in 30 districts saw plantations, with Sundergarh leading the effort by planting 9,68,440 saplings, followed by Koraput and Keonjhar. The campaign, supported by around 25 lakh people, unites various sectors, including industries and the armed forces, all contributing to this green cause.

Highlighting the initiative's broader impact, Majhi articulated that each planted tree is a symbol of Odisha's resolve for a sustainable environment. The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign-2 and the 'Meri LiFE' portal facilitate the tracking and documentation of this effort, cementing the state's dedication to Modi's vision for development.
