Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a series of ambitious infrastructure initiatives in Arunachal Pradesh, totaling Rs 5,125.37 crore. From Itanagar's Indira Gandhi Park, he virtually laid the foundation for transformative projects in the region.
The projects include two significant hydropower plants in Shi Yomi district and a state-of-the-art convention center in Tawang. The Tato-I and Heo hydropower projects, with a combined cost exceeding Rs 3,689 crore, promise to bolster the region's power generation capacity significantly.
Complementing these are new roads, healthcare facilities, and residential complexes aimed at improving connectivity and living standards across the state. Modi emphasized the dual benefits of the projects as markers of a proactive government strategy aimed at regional development.
