In a distressing event, land subsidence led to the collapse of three houses in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district, leaving two individuals injured. The incident occurred in Tandabadi Basti, under the Sonardih police jurisdiction, police confirmed on Friday.
The injured are currently receiving treatment, and a rescue operation is in progress to assist affected families. Bharat Coking Coal Limited is aiding in relocating residents away from the danger zone, as confirmed by Dhanbad (Rural) SP S Mohammad Yakub.
The exact cause of the subsidence remains under investigation. Notably, this isn't the first instance of such disaster in the region, with a similar event claiming three lives earlier on March 31.
