After multiple seasons without a playoff appearance, Bengal Warriorz are gearing up for a comeback in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12. The team, once champions in Season 7, aims to rectify its recent shortcomings by making significant strategic changes and acquisitions.
In a bid to enhance their performance, the Warriorz appointed former India international coach Naveen Kumar, known for his gold-medal-winning capabilities, to lead the squad, replacing ex-coach Prashant Surve. The PKL Season 12 auction was pivotal for the team as they secured standout raider Devank Dalal for INR 2.205 crore, strengthening their raiding department.
However, the Warriorz face challenges with a young and relatively inexperienced defensive lineup, retained through Last Bid Match options. Their reliance on key players like Devank in the absence of seasoned defenders and all-rounders might pose hurdles for their playoff hopes.
