Indian boxers Neeraj, Ishan Kataria, Yatri Patel, and Priya made an impressive mark at the U22 Asian Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, advancing to the finals of their respective weight categories on Wednesday.

Neeraj, competing in the men's 75kg category, relied on his speed and counterattacking prowess to overcome South Korea's Kyeongho Bang with a 5:0 victory, making him the first Indian finalist of the day. Following suit, Ishan Kataria dominated China's Chen Chen in the men's 90+kg category, with the referee stopping the contest in the third round due to the latter's inability to continue.

In women's boxing, Yatri Patel and Priya also reached the finals, each demonstrating superior skill and strategy. Yatri defeated Vietnam's Thi Nhung Quand 5:0 in the women's 57kg semifinals, while Priya overpowered Uzbekistan's Odinakhon Ismoilova to secure a place in the women's 60kg final. Despite several other Indian contenders falling short of the finals, their efforts were commendable, earning them bronze medals and highlighting India's growing presence in the Asian boxing scene.
