Amateur golfer Mannat Brar and rookie professional Heena Kang have taken the lead at the 11th Leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour, held at Prestige Golfshire in Bengaluru. The duo each shot an even par 72, pulling ahead of other contenders including Kriti Chowhan and amateurs Lavanya Gupta and Riya Jadon by two shots.
Heena Kang, who previously finished tied for fifth in her professional debut at Zion Hills, began the day with two consecutive bogeys. However, she skillfully recovered with birdies on the third, seventh, and 12th holes, ultimately finishing the round at even par despite a closing bogey on the 18th hole. Mannat Brar's round included a birdie on the fourth, countered by immediate setbacks on the fifth hole. Despite two additional bogeys on the 11th and 12th, Brar regained momentum with birdies on the 15th and 18th.
Other notable performances included Kriti Chowhan and amateur Lavanya Gupta, who each recorded two birdies and four bogeys. Amateur Riya Jadon, scoring a 74, mixed three birdies with three bogeys and a double bogey. Notably, Ridhima Dilawari, winner of the 10th leg, had a surprising round of 82, while former winner Seher Atwal completed with an 86. The competitive scene continues with several players sharing tied standings, setting an exciting stage for Round 2.
