The Odisha Pro T20 League, aiming to elevate cricket in Odisha, has announced Indian cricket legends Irfan Pathan and Debashish Mohanty as its brand ambassadors. The league, organized by the Odisha Cricket Association, seeks to inspire new talent and amplify the sport's presence in the region.
Set to commence on September 17 and run through September 26, the single-leg event will feature 18 matches, broadcast live on Star Sports Khel and streamed on FanCode. The league will host daily matches, accompanied by a grand opening ceremony featuring performances by renowned artists at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
With a prize pool including Rs 50 lakh for winners, the league involves six teams: Cuttack Panthers, Bhubaneswar Tigers, Rourkela Steelers, Puri Titans, Sambalpur Warriors, and Keonjhar Miners. The announcement was made at a press meet led by OCA officials, highlighting efforts to foster cricketing talent in the region.
