The Indian junior women's hockey team is gearing up for an Australian tour, featuring a five-match series aimed at assessing their skills and strategies ahead of the FIH World Cup later this year.
The series, taking place from September 26 to October 2 at Canberra's National Hockey Centre, will have India competing in three initial games against Australia, followed by two matches with Canberra Chill of the Hockey One League.
According to coach Tushar Khandker, this tour presents an invaluable learning opportunity. Competing against top-level teams will help in identifying improvements and testing the squad's resilience, all in preparation for the Women's Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile, in December.
