According to Andy Cowell, Aston Martin team principal, discussions have occurred, but the team has no plans to involve Horner in any capacity. Similarly, comments from Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu suggest exploratory talks took place but did not progress further.

Potential options also include Alpine, owing to Horner's friendship with executive advisor Flavio Briatore. However, managing director Steve Nielsen stated that no contact had been made.
