Record Ticket Sales Set Stage for Epic Australia-India Cricket Showdown

Cricket Australia confirmed on Monday that public ticket allocations for the T20 international match between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground have officially sold out. This event further underscores what is expected to be one of Australia's most significant cricket seasons, with multiple events, including 12 days of the Ashes series, already reaching public sale exhaustion.

The scheduled Friday night match on October 31 reached its sold-out status over three weeks in advance, indicative of exceptional fan demand. AFL member tickets became available today, with MCC member tickets following tomorrow. Overall ticket sales for the BKT Tyres Men's ODI and T20I Series have exceeded 175,000, leaving just over 30,000 tickets remaining for the entire eight-match series.

Public tickets for Sydney and Manuka Oval matches are already sold out, while Adelaide's ODI and Gabba's T20I tickets are close to capacity, each with fewer than 5,000 tickets left. In a statement from Cricket Australia, CEO Todd Greenberg highlighted the anticipated Melbourne T20I crowd as evidence of the intense interest in the series, further emphasizing the enthusiastic response from fans nationwide. The matches will be streaming live on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, with comprehensive coverage on ABC, Triple M, and SEN.
