Arkansas to Discontinue Collegiate Tennis Programs

Arkansas has made the decision to terminate its men's and women's tennis programs following the 2026 season, citing financial constraints as the primary reason.

Athletic director Hunter Yurachek emphasized that the ongoing evolution of the college athletics landscape necessitates difficult decisions in balancing competitive opportunities and resources.

While the tennis programs will be discontinued, current student-athletes will retain their scholarships and continue to access support services as they complete their degrees. This move will leave Arkansas with 17 sponsored sports programs.
