The fourth edition of the National Armwrestling and Para Armwrestling Championship has commenced at Rashtriya Raksha University's Lavad campus. The event features more than 2,000 participants from across 27 states and Union territories.
Organized jointly by the Armwrestling Federation of Gujarat and People's Armwrestling Federation India (PAFI), this four-day championship emphasizes the importance of sports in national development. Bimal N Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU, highlighted how the championship supports India's ambition to enhance cultural and sporting achievements. PAFI president Preeti Jhangiani extended her wishes to participants, while actor Suniel Shetty encouraged youth involvement in sports through a video message. The event aligns with Ahmedabad-Gujarat's goal to host the 2036 Olympic Games, reinforcing its contribution to global sports efforts.
