The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) transferred 10 cutting-edge technologies to six Indian industries, marking a pivotal step in boosting the country's space capabilities. Facilitated by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe), these transfers include advanced inertial sensors.
The renowned Laser Gyroscope and Ceramic Servo Accelerometer technologies have been assigned to Zetatek Technologies, located in Hyderabad. With over two decades of expertise, Zetatek will be instrumental in manufacturing these sensors domestically, reducing India's dependence on imports in this niche sector.
Additional technologies, including those used for ground station operations and geospatial models, were transferred to companies like Avantel, Jisnu Communications, and Amnex Info Technologies. This initiative underscores the ISRO's commitment to strengthening India's self-reliance by integrating industry-led innovation and leveraging indigenous capabilities.
