A team from the World Economic Forum met with Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister to discuss plans for the nation's inaugural Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Emphasis was placed on advancing green energy and digital innovation, as well as ensuring Andhra Pradesh's achievements are highlighted at the upcoming Davos convention.
Andhra Pradesh aims to be a frontrunner in sustainable energy, digital growth, and cyber defense. A previous agreement with the WEF detailed establishing this center in the state to leverage emerging technologies while maintaining societal benefits and mitigating risks.
The dialogue also reviewed the state's progress in the power sector, particularly through the proposed Green Energy Corridor Phase-III, which intends to integrate substantial green power capacity. This initiative aligns with broader solar and renewable energy projects aimed at transforming power infrastructure.
Additional discussions included projects like the 'PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana' and PM-KUSUM, focused on expanding renewable energy access across agricultural and residential sectors, to lessen irrigation costs and provide free electricity to households.
