Uttar Pradesh Boosts Infrastructure Ahead of Noida Airport Launch
Uttar Pradesh accelerates infrastructure development around Noida International Airport, with emphasis on electric mobility and logistic hubs. The state aims to strengthen public transport and expand electric vehicle charging facilities. Major expressway projects are underway, and investments in agriculture and defense sectors are being prioritized.
Uttar Pradesh is fast-tracking the creation of a comprehensive infrastructure and industrial ecosystem in anticipation of the Noida International Airport's flight operations. A government release reveals a concerted focus on electric mobility, expressway connectivity, and export projects, as was discussed in a recent review meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized the strengthening of the public transport system with the deployment of 110 electric buses to connect to the airport by June 15. A rapid expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure is also integral to the state's mobility plan, targeting 10,000 stations by 2030, with 2,500 already operational.
Reviewing expressway links crucial for industrial growth and connectivity, Adityanath stressed the need for expeditious land acquisitions for expressway projects such as the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link and Jewar Link. The government is also focusing on logistics hubs, with substantial land acquired for projects in the Jewar region, and accelerating industrial projects like the Seed Park and Textile Park in Lucknow.
