The CBSE revaluation portal recently suffered a cyber attack that disrupted its payment system, impacting 50 students. Government sources revealed that unauthorized access led to erratic fee displays, with amounts fluctuating dramatically.
The issue was traced to a glitch in the HDFC payment gateway. To address the situation, technical experts from IIT and additional payment gateways have been employed. Discussions between the education and finance ministries led to enhanced collaborations with public banks to fortify the payment infrastructure.
Efforts are underway to secure the system, including a transfer to Amazon Web Services to ensure better stability and performance. Test runs have shown promising results in stabilizing the portal's functionality.
