DB Corp Faces Profit Slump Amid Revenue Decline
Media giant DB Corp reported a significant drop in net profit for the March quarter of FY25, marking a 57.3% decline. Revenue decreased by 11.25% as the company faced a challenging financial year, marked by lower income and a notable drop in share prices on the BSE.

DB Corp Ltd has reported a sharp 57.3% decline in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter of the fiscal year 2025, posting Rs 52.33 crore compared to Rs 122.52 crore in the same period last year, as per a regulatory filing on Thursday.
The company's revenue from operations also fell by 11.25%, closing at Rs 547.65 crore, down from Rs 617.13 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. This downturn contributed to a 12.8% annual decline in net profit, totaling Rs 370.98 crore by the end of FY25, against Rs 425.52 crore in FY24.
Despite being a major player in the print media sector, with five newspapers and the 94.3 MY FM Radio station, DB Corp's total income decreased by 2.45% year-on-year to Rs 2,421.20 crore. The company's shares ended Thursday at Rs 222.95 on the BSE, dropping 15.10% from the previous close.
