Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, speaking at a state-level Red Cross event, urged citizens to support the Red Cross and its humanitarian efforts. At an International Red Cross Day event in Hamirpur, he distributed artificial limbs to those in need and honored individuals excelling in sports, arts, and other fields.
Governor Shukla lauded the Red Cross Society in Himachal Pradesh for its dedication to uplifting the underprivileged. He highlighted the significance of Operation Sindoor, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking it as a national pride symbol. The Governor praised the Indian Army for its precise execution of this operation against terrorist hideouts.
In addition, the Governor reopened the Red Cross Laboratory at Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, emphasizing its future benefits for the needy. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also issued a statement urging public support for the Red Cross, applauding the volunteers' continuous humanitarian efforts worldwide.
