The Morigaon police have registered an FIR against North East India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and the singer's manager Siddhartha Sharma.
The Assam Police have been tasked to explore Garg's death thoroughly, probing Mahanta, Sharma, and those close to Garg during his final moments. Reports suggest Garg attended a party the night before his death, which is under evaluation. The singer tragically drowned in Singapore on Friday, swimming without a life jacket.
