Murder Charges in Zubeen Garg's Death Rock Assam

The Assam Police have escalated their investigation into the death of renowned singer Zubeen Garg, charging his manager Siddharth Sharma and festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta with murder. The charges come after Garg's sudden death while in Singapore last month.
Authorities arrested the duo in Delhi and transferred them to Guwahati for further interrogation. Munna Prasad Gupta, Special DGP of the CID, confirmed the addition of Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to murder, in the FIR.
Beyond this incident, financial crimes and alleged money laundering involving Mahanta are under scrutiny, with multiple incriminating documents seized from his residence. Investigations continue, including the analysis of autopsy results from Singapore and forensic reports.
