JioStar, a media and entertainment platform, announced a remarkable gross revenue of Rs 36,248 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, showcasing its strength in digital and TV subscriptions. The company, formed from a merger between Reliance's media business and Disney's India operations, reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 419 crore for the March quarter.
Despite challenges in traditional TV advertising due to reduced FMCG spending, JioStar's digital ad revenue across sports and entertainment reached new heights in 2026, largely fueled by strategic content monetization and Connected TV (CTV) initiatives. The platform's engagement soared, with events like the T20 Men's Cricket WC Final setting a global peak concurrency record of 72.5 million.
During the IPL 2026 season, JioStar recorded a 15% growth in digital reach and a 27% growth in CTV reach. The network maintained its leadership, commanding a 34.7% share in linear TV by FY26. The company remains at the forefront in viewer engagement, reaching an impressive 515 million viewers during IPL's opening weekend.
