Maran Group Unveils Tamil Nadu's First Mobile Micro-Drama Platform
Maran Group has launched KadhaiShorts, Tamil Nadu's inaugural mobile-first micro-drama platform featuring short episodic series. The platform offers affordable access and spans six genres with plans for regional expansion. Additionally, KadhaiClub aims to foster talent in vertical filmmaking, significantly boosting local employment within the entertainment sector.

The Maran Group has introduced KadhaiShorts, Tamil Nadu's pioneering micro-drama platform tailored for mobile viewing. This new venture signifies the group's entry into innovative entertainment formats with short, engaging two-minute episodes known as 'Kutti Series.'
Karan Dayanidhi Maran, the vice chairman and founder, views micro-dramas as a pivotal development in mobile entertainment. Launching with original Tamil content across six genres, KadhaiShorts plans to broaden its reach to multiple Indian languages by year's end. The platform also offers economical access, with a pay-per-series model beginning at Rs 20, and intends to unveil ten new dramas monthly.
Moreover, Maran Group has rolled out KadhaiClub, an initiative supporting vertical filmmaking talent, which already includes over 12,000 members. By 2027, KadhaiShorts aims to generate substantial job opportunities, directly employing over 200 professionals and indirectly supporting countless more in the entertainment industry.
