In a decisive response to escalating international border concerns, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level meeting at his residence on Wednesday, directing authorities to fortify security across key areas in the state. The meeting followed a virtual conference with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who underscored the need for robust defenses.
Dhami emphasized the necessity for stringent security measures along the state's international borders, particularly during the ongoing Chardham Yatra, which attracts large numbers of pilgrims. Recognizing the presence of numerous national importance establishments, he called for vigilant monitoring and fortified protection of these critical sites.
The Chief Minister further instructed that civil defense teams and voluntary organizations be primed for rescue missions. Emphasizing the circulation of verified information, he tasked officials with ensuring the public remains informed and insulated from misinformation or rumors. Social media will be closely monitored to curb the spread of false information.
