The Congress party organized a 'Jai Hind Yatra' across all Pradesh Congress Committee units on Friday to show solidarity with the armed forces amid heightened tensions with Pakistan after Operation Sindoor. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal emphasized the party's unwavering support for the troops, stating that the entire nation is united in saluting their service.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate highlighted the army's track record of defending the nation against Pakistan since 1965, emphasizing national trust in the army's capability to respond to provocations. She expressed gratitude to the armed forces for their decisive actions against terrorist camps, reassuring that the nation backs their efforts.

MP Rajeev Shukla echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing Congress's commitment to backing the armed forces and the central government. Congress leader Shama Mohamed reiterated the party's stance of standing firmly with the army, asserting its role in protecting the nation against Pakistan's fostering of terrorism.

An all-party meeting convened at the Parliament Annexe building on Thursday addressed Operation Sindoor, with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh briefing political leaders on cross-border counterterrorism measures. High-profile attendees included Union Minister JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Amid the escalating situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with military veterans on Friday to discuss current challenges. This followed the central government's authorization for the Chief of Army Staff to mobilize the Territorial Army due to increased cross-border threats.

Pakistan's drone and missile offensives along India's western frontier, specifically targeting Jammu, Kashmir, and Rajasthan, were met with robust interceptions by Indian air defenses, including the S-400 system. These developments add urgency to international calls urging diplomatic restraint to avert further escalation.
