Maersk Halts Haifa Port Calls Amid Israel-Iran Tensions
Maersk has temporarily halted its vessel calls at Haifa port due to escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. The port, owned by Adani Ports and Israel's Gadot Group, remains unaffected in its overall operations, while Iran continues its retaliation with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel.

Amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, Danish shipping giant Maersk announced on Friday a temporary suspension of its vessel services to Israel's Haifa port.
The port, which transitioned to private ownership in 2022, is 70% owned by India's Adani Ports and 30% by Israel's Gadot Group. Despite these geopolitical strains, Maersk indicated no disruptions in its other regional operations.
Israel has intensified its airstrikes against Iranian targets in recent days, aiming to curb Tehran's alleged nuclear ambitions. Iran, refuting such plans, has retaliated with missile and drone attacks on locations linked to Israel's defense infrastructure, including Haifa and Tel Aviv.
