Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu declared on Sunday that the state's agriculture sector is on a path of rapid transformation. Farmers are increasingly embracing higher productivity and sustainability, thanks to new initiatives and government support.

In his social media update, Khandu revealed that Rs 142.67 crore has been disbursed directly to 99,656 farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. This financial boost has enhanced farmers' confidence and allowed greater investment in agricultural endeavors.

Khandu also noted the issuance of 1,02,295 soil health cards aiding scientific farming, an expansion of efficient micro-irrigation facilities under the PM-Per Drop More Crop programme, support for organic farming, and the near-full saturation of Kisan Credit Cards in the state. These efforts contribute significantly to the growing trend of sustainable and profitable farming practices in Arunachal Pradesh.
