In a significant display of international solidarity, ambassadors and high commissioners from more than 70 countries assembled in New Delhi on Thursday to participate in the plantation drive 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. The initiative, endorsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was lauded by Omani Ambassador Issa Saleh Alshibani, emphasizing its timely response to global climate challenges.

The campaign, held at the PBG Grounds and part of the Sewa Pakhwada celebrations for Modi's 75th birthday, saw diplomats planting saplings in their mothers' honor. The event underscored the universal bond of motherhood and bolstered efforts towards environmental conservation, according to enthusiastic participants.

Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa highlighted the campaign's profound emotional and environmental impact. Gupta noted the drive's ability to inspire deep emotional connections, while Sirsa underscored its global resonance as participants shared personal stories, enriching the initiative's heartfelt narrative.
