Rajasthan's Vigilant Drills: Ensuring Readiness in Urban Centers

In the wake of heightened security concerns, Rajasthan conducted widespread mock drills in multiple cities, as per directives from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. These exercises simulate potential terror threats, preparing emergency services for swift and coordinated responses.

The rigorous drills, which initiated at 4 PM, featured scenarios such as air strikes and police station assaults. In Jaipur, an airstrike simulation took place at the BSNL office on MI Road, where officials established a control room, dispatched fire brigades, civil defense teams, and ambulances, and implemented traffic blocks to facilitate rescue efforts.

Meanwhile, Bikaner staged a mock police station attack, attended by senior officials like Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph. Such exercises underscore the importance of timely and efficient action in emergency situations, with officials evaluating the response time of different agencies to optimize readiness.
