Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Israel has escalated its travel advisory, urging its citizens in the Kashmir region to exit "immediately".
On Wednesday, the advisory was revised following Indian military strikes targeting terror sites in both Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's Punjab province. This was in retaliation for an April attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that resulted in 26 deaths. The Pakistani army responded with intense artillery and mortars, impacting forward villages along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in further casualties.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry emphasizes avoiding Jammu and Kashmir, with an exception for Ladakh, aligning with the National Security Council's prior advisory.
