In a new twist to the stabbing case involving renowned actor Saif Ali Khan, the accused has filed for the declaration of his arrest as illegal. Mohammad Shariful Islam, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested following the Jan 16 incident.

Islam, currently held in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail, initially sought bail, but later retracted his plea. His lawyer, Ajay Gawli, presented a new application claiming police misconduct during Islam's apprehension.
