Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday highlighted the importance of unified support for the country's armed forces, urging the opposition not to let political disagreements with Prime Minister Narendra Modi translate into criticism of the military. He praised the valor of forces during Operation Sindoor.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Chouhan addressed questions about Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel's demands for government accountability on the Pahalgam attack and subsequent military actions. Chouhan expressed national pride in the operation and saluted the armed forces for their precision in neutralizing terrorist threats.
Chouhan also announced the allocation of over 3 lakh houses under the Prime Minister Awas Yojna in Chhattisgarh, a move he claims reverses the previous government's actions that deprived the poor of housing benefits. He detailed plans for further housing initiatives, including support for victims of Naxal violence.
