Amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, over 70 Indian students at Tehran University of Medical Sciences are gripped by fear, as bombardments and blackouts become part of their daily existence.
Living in basements for safety and battling weak internet connection, these students are cut off from their families back home, who anxiously await news of their wellbeing. Mehreen Zaffar, a third-year MBBS student, expressed her distress over the situation, hoping for timely intervention.
Efforts by the Indian government have led to the evacuation of 110 students to Armenia, with plans for their safe return to Delhi underway. The Indian Embassy in Iran continues to extend support to those still in need of evacuation.
