Mumbai police apprehended a real estate agent near a forensic science lab on Wednesday, confiscating a pistol and two live cartridges, according to an official report.
Identified as Sagar Heeralal Rajbhar, 37, from Kalyan, Rajbhar was arrested following a tip-off about his intention to deliver a firearm at Kalina's Hans Bhugra Road.
The Crime Branch's timely intervention led to the confiscation of the weapon, but questions concerning the firearm's origin and its intended recipient still loom large as investigations proceed.
