Hathras district authorities have arrested Kishanpal Kashyap in connection with the murder of 75-year-old Dorilal Upadhyay. The arrest follows a food-related dispute between the two, police revealed.
Upadhyay's body was discovered with severe injuries in a field in Kevalgarhi village on September 13, prompting an immediate investigation. Reports indicate that Kishanpal, who had known the victim since childhood, attacked Upadhyay following an argument over food.
Superintendent Chiranjeev Nath Sinha and ASP Ashok Kumar Singh investigated the scene, leading to the formation of multiple teams to resolve the case. The murder weapon, a spear-like object, was recovered based on Kishanpal's confession.
