Pope Leo Condemns Gaza Conditions, Urges Ceasefire

This offensive, which began on Tuesday, has led to heavy bombardment, reminiscent of intense conflict periods.

Pope Leo reiterated his plea for a truce and the release of hostages held in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a diplomatic resolution. He has continually appealed for peace and justice during his recent papacy, notably meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog to discuss the grim situation in Gaza earlier this month.
