Fugitive Murder Accused Nabbed by UP Special Task Force

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has successfully apprehended Shiv Kumar, a murder suspect who managed to escape police custody earlier this year, officials reported on Wednesday.

Kumar, also known by his alias Bablu, was previously detained on charges filed at the Mahanagar police station after an altercation resulted in his son's death. He had been at large since May 24 when he fled while receiving treatment at Balrampur Hospital.

The arrest took place at approximately 8.30 pm on Tuesday near Clark Awadh Hotel in Lucknow. Acting on a tip-off, the STF was able to close in on Kumar, who has since been transferred to the Wazirganj police for further proceedings.
