In a dramatic turn of events, police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a robbery involving a software engineer at Prem Nagar. The incident, which happened on May 5, initially appeared to involve pushing, but subsequent investigations revealed a different story.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Akash, was baited by two men into an under-construction bridge where they shared alcohol. A scuffle ensued when the suspects demanded Akash's mobile phones, leading to his fall from the bridge.
The suspects fled with two phones and Rs 600, leaving Akash seriously injured. After CCTV footage review, police nabbed one suspect, Mridul Gurung, while efforts continue to capture his accomplice, Asmit Thapa. Authorities claim robbery was committed to fund Gurung's drug addiction.
