After replacing Biplab Kumar Deb in May 2022, Saha has embarked on a mission to enhance educational and healthcare facilities. The Centre recently allocated Rs 273 crore for the expansion of Agartala Government Medical College, increasing MBBS seats from 150 to 250. Additionally, two new medical institutions are set to launch.
The government has also addressed unemployment by creating thousands of jobs in both regular government posts and through outsourcing. On the law enforcement front, Tripura ranks third from the bottom on the National Crime Records Bureau's crime graph.
