A tragic incident unfolded in Bundi district, India, claiming the lives of a woman and her young son after they drowned in an inactive stone mine filled with rainwater. The woman was washing clothes near the quarry in Guda village when her four-year-old son slipped into the water.
The mother, identified as Sunki, attempted to rescue her son, Sonu, but both were unable to escape the water. The family, which includes four other children, faced a devastating loss. Local police quickly arrived at the scene, confirming the incident and preparing for an investigation into the deaths.
The bodies were retrieved and taken to Kota's New Medical College Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Residing in the Shahabad area of Baran district, the family had been in the Dabi area for work. Authorities have classified the case as an unnatural death as they continue their investigation.
