Tragedy on Raipur-Balodabazar Road: Voices of Mourning and Assistance

In a tragic road accident near Saragaon on the Raipur-Balodabazar road in Chhattisgarh, 13 people, including women and children, lost their lives, and 14 others were injured. The collision occurred late Sunday night between a trailer and a goods truck.

President Droupadi Murmu responded to the incident with heartfelt condolences, offering prayers for the bereaved families and the swift recovery of the injured. She highlighted the sadness surrounding the loss in a post on X in Hindi.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate event and took swift action, announcing a compensation package. Each bereaved family will receive Rs 5 lakh, while those injured will get Rs 50,000, showing governmental support and care in this dire situation.
