In Maharashtra, intense rainfall over the last 24 hours has resulted in three deaths and forced the evacuation of over 120 individuals as revealed by the State Disaster Management Department.

Rescue operations were carried out by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local teams in the most severely hit districts. The Marathwada region saw five of its eight districts deluged, with Beed receiving the highest rainfall of 143.7 mm.

Flooding in low-lying regions, particularly in Beed and Ahilyanagar, has disrupted daily life. Both local and state agencies, including 12 NDRF teams, were deployed for evacuation and emergency relief efforts as warnings have been issued for parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha.
